Breckenridge Craft Spirits Festival 2016 will be held from October 21st to October 23rd. This gala will kick off at 10 A.M., on Friday morning. The festival will feature a distillery workshop for women, shot glass decorating and tours of Breckenridge. One tour is for adults only, but there are others throughout the weekend that are family-oriented.
The 2016 Women of Distillery Workshop commencing on Friday, October 21st at 4P.M., at Napper Tandy’s located on the upper level of Salt Creek Steakhouse will be led by a panel of female distillery owners, bartenders and PR reps. The goal of this discussion is to focus on the talents, creativity and achievements of women in the distillery industry. Women of Distillery Workshop is a free-of-charge event.
Men and women are urged to include the shot glass decorating activity occurring Friday 6-to-8P.M., at the Ceramic Studio on their things to do list. The $5 fee for this activity includes all materials needed to create your one-of-a-kind shot glass that will subsequently be fired and ready for pickup on Saturday evening.
Depending on the weather and your hiking stamina, don sturdy footwear and set off on the Preston Ghost Town & Gold Mine Tour. This 3-to-5-mile round trip trek affords the opportunity to explore the ruins of cabins and other buildings associated with the 1859 Colorado gold rush. Led by a qualified Heritage Alliance guide, participants will espy both household and mining-oriented items used by residents of the area. In 2012 BHA instituted structure restoration and overall site preservation efforts.
Visitors of all ages are invited to purchase tickets for the 90-minute Tombstones at Twilight Tour of Valley Brook Cemetery. Your list of things to do on Friday should definitely include the adults-only Historic Saloon Tour along with a reminder not to miss the Seventh Annual Poker Run & Bar Mix-Off.
If it’s Saturday, it’s time to don sturdy shoes to participate in a historic walking tour around the town to learn how residents lived almost 150 years ago. Another Saturday highlight is the Still on the Hill Grand Tasting craft spirits gala. Adults are invited to enjoy snacks, drinks and music rendered by the Honey Gitters.
Haunted house fans will find the tales, sites and overall creepy aura of the Haunted Tour enjoyable; however, for children this is also a great way to have some Halloween trick or treat fun.
On Sunday, cap off Breckenridge Craft Spirits Festival 2016 with the Bloody Sunday Hangover Brunch.
