Be sure to reserve the weekend of July 4, 5, and 6 for a visit to the 2014 Breckenridge July Art Festival. The fair will run Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with free parking and free admission.
The festival annually attracts artists from around the USA. Exhibits have been scrupulously juried to showcase a wide variety of superbly talented artists. Visitors will enjoy exhibits of painting, photography, and sculpture, along with ceramics and jewelry. Artists in fiber, wood, and glass will also be displaying their creations. Of course, there will also be some surprises.
Directors Mark Beling and Judith Pollock have been producing outdoors Colorado art festivals for over twenty years. When they settled in Breckenridge in 1990, they already had many years of experience as professional artists exhibiting at festivals, so they really know the ins and outs of the business. Mark and Judith first put together a Breckenridge festival season in 1993, organizing three art festivals taking place in the months of July and August. And these Mountain Art Festivals are still going strong, attracting both talented artists and visitors from around the world.
The Mountain Art Festivals provide a great experience for visitors as well as offering a chance to give to the community, since Mark and Judith have made it a regular practice to donate many thousands of dollars in cash and in-kind donations to area non-profits.The Breckenridge July Art Festival promises to be a wonderful way to celebrate the Glorious Fourth. Along with viewing the festival exhibits, visitors can enjoy hiking in the mountains, trying out some of the many local restaurants and boutiques, and experiencing some of Breckenridge’s cultural heritage by strolling through the Historical District.Take Exit 203 Fresco/Breckenridge off the I-70 to CO 9 S.
