2014 Dew TourThe 2014 Dew Tour Mountain Championships will be held in Breckenridge, Colorado, on December 11 through 14. This sports event is arranged by NBC Sports and Alli Sports which gives the USSA control over aspects of the event including its format, ability to sell advertising to its official sponsors during the telecast, and to help promote its Grand Prix series.

This signature winter event will celebrate the ten year anniversary and will be the final stop of the 2014 Tour year. It focuses on a number of extreme sports, and participants compete to win gold, silver and bronze medals along with prize money.

This will be the seventh straight year that the Tour will be held at the Breckenridge Ski Resort. There will be four days of snowboard and free-ski competitions along with live music performances and the interactive Dew Tour Experience, which will feature athlete meet and greets, giveaways and games.

2014 Dew TourThe world’s top athletes, including Louie Vito, Shaun White, Bobby Brown, Kelly Clark and others, will return to strap in and take on the hill to kick off their competition season.

This event will serve as the first official Olympic selection event of the US Ski and Snowboard Team and the first Olympic qualifying events for free-ski super-pipe, free-ski slope-style, and snowboarding slope-style disciplines.

The Tour consists of three winter events in city, beach and mountain locales. Snowboard and free-ski male and female athletes earn points over the season for a chance at the year-end title. There are multiple events at each stop on the Tour. Also to be featured in Breckenridge will be the summer sports of skateboarding and BMX, with additional competitions of surf and freestyle motocross. The events combine lifestyle festivals and the best in action sports competitions.

The competitions will include:

Men’s and Women’s Free-ski Super-pipe, Slope-style
Men’s and Women’s Snowboard Super-pipe, Slope-style, and Street-style

This unique event will be broadcast live on NBC and NBC Sports Network and streamed live on dewtour.com.
